Oprah’s event at Radio City Music Hall was wonderful.  She  gave us inspiration through her own life story and told us through “What I know for sure . . . . .” is that each step along the way we can open ourselves to the energy and receive inspiration and direction.  In our daily quiet times or in our struggles through centering and listening  - we find our way.  She gave us images of her life, from childhood to now and described how “What she knows for sure – was that God was always there for her and that she couldn’t get through it without Him.  Be the best you can be through ever phase of your life and look for your path forward so you can be generous to others.  Did I mention Hugh Jackman burst on stage to bring in the anniversary cake with the Rockets?

The Sunday morning walkathon was a success with all her celebrity guests – even Bette Midler and Jennifer Hudson.  The charity event was very well attended with almost 10,000 women and men.  We all braved the cold wind to end up at a Times Square Party with lots of free cupcakes!

You have already seen our beautiful and delicious deviled eggs.  We also sampled two of their plates.  The New Season Asparagus with Prosciutto and Parmesan Custard and the Buffalo Mozzarella with Marinated Olives & Chili.  A diner at the next table also gave us a sample of the Spotted Pig’s signature – Sheep’s Ricotta Gnudi with Brown Butter & Sage.  I lack the words to describe how good it was.  So  after a wonderful experience at a “Manhattan” kind of place in E.Village, we found our way to The Magnolia Bakery.  Oh – the aroma – well, it’s a dessert bakery – what more can I say.  We also sample their signature – Banana Pudding.  And I think it smell amazing in there because they use sweetened Marscapone Cheese for their icing.

And as you can see, we found a cozy spot on the corner of Hudson and Perry for some neighborhood knitting.  Many people stopped to chat as we were relaxing and knitting.  It was great people watching!
